January 11th is the first mention of Capt Henry Thompson’s new troop called the First Baltimore Horse Artillery in his journal. The just released Maryland Historical Magazine, Winter 2013, has an article by Nelson Mott Bolton and Christopher T. George on the untold story that this troop played in the War of 1812 in Baltimore.
I hope this message gets to Nelson Mott Bolton or Christopher T. George. I read the article in the MD Historical Magazine, Winter 2013, about Henry Thompson. You make mention of a scow bridge built between Fells Point and Federal Hill. This is the first time I have heard of this scow bridge. Can you please give more information on this bridge? Thank you.
