25 – Fine warm day – Wind S.W. Thunder Storm last night & Rain ~ Went to Town return’d to dinner. Mrs. T. & Miss Meroney din’d with S./ Chase, Miss Betsey Chase & F. Bowly call’d in the evening for a few minutes ~ Rented Fromentines Field to P. Griffin for $150 until 1st October next ~ Commenc’d Planting Potatoes near the Gate on S.W. side of House ~

22nd May – Sunday – Fine cool day Wind N.W. Took a ride on my new Horse Roderick, and I like him very much – S. Sterett, Jas. Sterett and H. Moore din’d with us, and F. Bowly, Eliza & Maria Peters drank Tea & Staid all Night ~

19th – Fine day – Wind S.E. Went to Town by way of the Orchard, & laid off an additional room & Shed. Mrs. T returned home with Miss Meroney & S. Stewart. Return’d home to Dinner ~ At 8 O’Clock a heavy Thunder Storm and Rain from S.W. – for 3 hours –
