13th ct. – Weather continues very fine – Went to Town, return’d Home to dinner – Sow’d Timothy on Potatoe Ground – Miss Meroney came to dinner & return’d to Town in the evening – Doct. Fitzhugh went Home on a Furlough of ten days, after being with us nearly every other Night since the 29th July –

27 – Cloudy day, but not Hot – Thunder and a fine shower at 6 P.M. Went to Town, return’d to Dinner, afterwards walk’d to Mr. Nicols and spent a very Pleasant afternoon – People busy Hoeing Potatoes-
