12th – Rain in the morning but fine day, went to Town, din’d with Lyde Goodwin for the first time

11th – Rain’d all Night with very high Wind at S.E. and the highest Tide in Town, I ever remember ~ Went to Town, return’d to Dinner and had the following company ~ Jn. Allen, Powell, Sheppard, Koning, Robt & Jo. Patterson, S. Sterett, OBrien, Wichelhausen, L. Goodwin, J. Hollingsworth, C & P. Wirgman

26 – Very fine day and Hot Wind S. Took all hands to the Meadows to cut and maul Posts & Rails. Mr. & Mrs. Lyde Goodwin paid us a visit. Mr. Amos A. Williams took away his 20 Merino Ewes & 15 Lambs which I have kept for him since 19 Nov. last.
