13th – Fine day – Wind East – Went to the Meadows and Town, return’d to Dinner. Fredk. haul’d 4 wagon loads of Rails from Fortune. Mr. & Mrs. Wirgman/Peter/Maria Peters & Mary Sterett drank Tea with us.

4th – Weather still cloudy Wind S.E. – Paid Negro, Joshua $12 on accot. of Chestnut Rails maul’d at Fortune, who says has mauld 1963 – price 75 cents per 100. Went to Town, return’d to Dinner – Commenc’d raining at 2 O’Clock, and continued all the evening with some Thunder & Lightening –

April 1st – Very fine day – Wind N.W. Went to Town, rode by the Meadows, and return’d to Dinner – Louisa Wirgman died this morning at 4 O’Clock, after six days illness. [went to?] Town, as also did Mrs. T. and attended the Funeral of Louisa Wirgman at 10 O’Clock, return’d to Dinner – Mr. E[?] Carroll & Mr. Devereux call’d in the evening & Drank Tea – Paid Vache in full. $10 for last month
