April 6th Very beautiful day. I intend setting off this evening for Hagers Town to bring my Sons Home to spend the Easter Vacation – Planted a Willow & some ever greens on East end of the House –

3rd – Cloudy day & not so warm as yesterday – Rode to the Meadows & Furley, Dined at Home & no company, in the evening Mr. S. & Mary Sterett walk’d out & drank Tea –

27 March Sunday – A shower of Rain at sunrise, but afterwards an uncommonly fine Spring day and very Warm, the Thermometer as high as 75 in a Shade. Din’d at home without company, aferwards drove to Furley & Fortune – Wm. R. Smith & Jno. Merryman call’d

6th Sunday – Very fine day, Wind West and Snow all melted by 12 O’Clock. Went to Church Doct Kemp preach’d Mrs. Hu Thompsons Funeral Sermon & from thence with Mr. S. Sterett to dine with D.A. Smith, no other company return’d Home early

24th – Rain all last Night & untill 12 O’Clock this day, but did not clear up until six O’Clock when the Wind chang’d to N.W. & blew very hard. Remain’d at Home all day
