14th Dec. Weather still cool & ground cover’d with Snow, Wind N.W. Went to Town, din’d with L. Godwin. Sent to Furley for the three Mares recd. from D.A. Smith on 6th Nov. to keep in Fromentines Field, they are in very fine condition

11th Sunday – Snow about 6 inches dep but not very cold, clear’d up at 12 O’Clock with Wind at N.W. Staid at home all day, no company but Mrs. Wirgman & her son. Commenc’d this day feeding my Sheep which has not been necessary untill now, Pastures being good & uncovered

Dec. 6th – Snow this morning about 3 inches deep, and the first we have had this Winter – Went to Town, din’d at S. Steretts – Mrs. Wirgman & Son came out to stay a few days – clear evg. Wing N.W.

21st – Cold hazy morning, Wind East – Went to Town return’d to Diner – Commenced Snowing at 2 O’Clock and continued without intermission all the afernoon & very cold~

6th Sunday – Very fine day, Wind West and Snow all melted by 12 O’Clock. Went to Church Doct Kemp preach’d Mrs. Hu Thompsons Funeral Sermon & from thence with Mr. S. Sterett to dine with D.A. Smith, no other company return’d Home early

5th – Cloudy morning Wind S.E. & cold, began Snowing at 9 O’Clock & continued until 3 P.M. – afterwards more mild – Went to Town, din’d with Mr. Gray & a small party very agreeably. Alex Stewart yesterday drew a prize of $20,000 in the Trinity Church Lottery No. 16.496
