At 8 PM within 1 mile of the ship & continued in that position during the night. At 6 AM boarded her, she was the Russian Ship Venus from Amelia Isl. and bound to St. Petersburg with a cargo of Cotton & Tobacco. At 9 AM saw an other sail made sail in chase; at 11 AM boarded her. She was the Swedish ship Eden, Andrew Nelson Master, from Amelia Isl.:bound to Liverpool. Cargo Cotton, put Capt. Dodd on board of her as a prizemaster. Let her proceed.
