18 – Very beautiful day, indeed the most so of any we have had this summer, with an appearance of its continuance ~ Took all hands to the Meadows, made a Stack of fine clover, from thence to Town, came home to dinner & again over to the Meadows, had ten hands at work & did well – Mrs. T walked to Mr. Steretts in the forenoon & to Mr. Peters in the Evg.

8 May Sunday – Fine cool day Wind N.W. Rode over to the Meadows. Mr. Oliver paid me a visit. Mrs. T & Miss Merony walk’d to Church and din’d at P. Wirgmans. S. Sterett and his son George, also Wm. Courtenay din’d with me, afterwards Mr. Allen, Koning & Jo. Sterett call’d and sat an Hour. Sent to Town for a Gray Horse purchas’d for me by Mr. Allen ~

April 1st – Very fine day – Wind N.W. Went to Town, rode by the Meadows, and return’d to Dinner – Louisa Wirgman died this morning at 4 O’Clock, after six days illness. [went to?] Town, as also did Mrs. T. and attended the Funeral of Louisa Wirgman at 10 O’Clock, return’d to Dinner – Mr. E[?] Carroll & Mr. Devereux call’d in the evening & Drank Tea – Paid Vache in full. $10 for last month
