30th Oct. Sunday – High Wind and Rain last Night, but clear morning, Went to Town, Escorted by Gen. Scott a few Miles towards Washington, return’d home to Dinner, afterwards walk’d with Mrs. T & the children to Furley, return’d to Tea

8 – Weather very fine – Went to Town & found our four Sons, who all arriv’d last night from Hagers Town in good Health & slept at Mr. Steretts. Mrs. T. went to Town & return’d home to Dinner. I din’d at Mr. Rob. Gilmores for the first time –

3rd – Saw my sons in the Hagers Town Stage at 3 O’Clock this morning at Ellicotts Mills all in fine Spirits, and return’d Home to breakfast, afterwards Mrs. T accompanied me to Town, and both return’d Home to Dinner – Planted Canteloups & Corn

25 – Fine clear day – Wind N.W. Did not go to Town to day, but rode over to the Meadows, being busy ploughing for Oats and had 8 bushels of Clover Seed Sown this day on Rye & Wheat, the Ground being in fine order ~Mrs. T. & Children return’d from Town, having been at Mrs. Wirgmans 6 days –
