13th ct. – Weather continues very fine – Went to Town, return’d Home to dinner – Sow’d Timothy on Potatoe Ground – Miss Meroney came to dinner & return’d to Town in the evening – Doct. Fitzhugh went Home on a Furlough of ten days, after being with us nearly every other Night since the 29th July –

27 – Hazy, warm day – Wind S.E. Went to Town, return’d to Dinner, afterwards walk’d to Darley & Mr. Nicols return’d with me to Tea – Mrs. Hollins & Francis rode out & drank Tea – Commenc’d mowing Timothy next to Mrs. Stewarts, a very heavy crop.
